I totaly agree with this analysis published by TechCunch: It became almost impossible to search the Web without spam and marketing.Even GiveMeBackMyGoogle service is not sufficient to remove the spam. For sure I will give Blekko a try.

Using Google Translate to read Chinese pages

I wanted to read this page [译文]程序员能力矩阵 Programmer Competency Matrix that is mainly in Chinese.
So I use Google translate service to translate from Chinese to English. And the result seems to be good (I mean for an automated translation):

Google published a great list of Gmail tips in the Gmail help pages:

I personally like this one:
Add “(EOM)” to the subject of one-liner messages.

If you ever want to send a quick note where the subject is the entire message (like “Want to grab lunch at 12:30?”), but are annoyed when Gmail prompts you to add body text, just type “EOM” or “(EOM)” at the end of the subject line (short for End Of Message), and Gmail will politely send the message without the extra prompt.
