A little social science experiment with “We Feel Fine”

We Feel Fine is an applet that explore the emotions of the blogosphere. The methodology used is described here:
At the core of We Feel Fine is a data collection engine that automatically scours the Internet every ten minutes, harvesting human feelings from a large number of blogs. Blog data comes from a variety of online sources, including LiveJournal, MSN Spaces, MySpace, Blogger, Flickr, Technorati, Feedster, Ice Rocket, and Google.
Today is Thanksgiving and I took a screenshot of the metric page:

We see that today people feels 37,5 times more thankful than the normal level. And also 17,5 times more fortunate. It’s amazing to see the impact of Thanksgiving on people’s emotions.
