The Seven ‘Lies’ Of Success

Anthony Robbins presents in “Unlimited Power” what he calls the seven lies of success. Those ‘lies’ are empowering beliefs that help us to have better reactions in everyday life. They are listed below with some comments:

  1. Everything happens for a reason and a purpose, and it must serve us. You might think about this ‘lie’ if for instance you have an important appointment and you are late and blocked in a traffic jam.
  2. There is no such thing as failure. There are only results. There is always something to learn from your actions.
  3. Whatever happens, take responsibility. This ‘lie’ gives you better control of your life.
  4. It’s not necessary to understand everything to be able to use everything. You may use this one to overcome procrastination, when you say to yourself “I cannot start this because I don’t have enough knowledge to achieve it properly”.
  5. People are your greatest resource. People will always amaze you.
  6. Work is play. Try to find a way to make your work something enjoyable.
  7. There is no abiding success without commitment. Accidental success don’t stay.
